Summary
Cursor Curse Monitor reads your Cursor session only. We do not operate a cloud service that stores or aggregates extension usage data. This policy covers the IDE extension, browser extension, marketing website, email subscribe, anonymous analytics, and Chrysalis (floating product guide).
What data is accessed
- Your Cursor auth token from local
state.vscdb(on your computer only) - Usage summary and profile from
api2.cursor.shusing that token - Your extension settings (poll interval, budget cap) stored in VS Code/Cursor settings
- Browser extension: budget UI and paste-guard run locally; optional cursor.com session helpers stay in the browser profile
Who can see your usage
- You only — the dashboard shows data for the Cursor account currently signed in on this machine.
- Not your team admin via this app — this extension does not expose other members' usage.
- Team limits — if your plan is team-based, you may see team limit context returned by Cursor's API for your session, not a full team usage breakdown.
Email subscribe
If you subscribe on the website, we store your email, source, and consent version in Mission Control (Cloudflare KV) to send product updates. Consent is required (version 2026-09-18). Unsubscribe by replying to a message or contacting us.
Website analytics and advertising (opt-in)
Anonymous visit and marketplace-click counts, plus Google AdSense Auto ads, run only after you choose Allow analytics on the process-consent banner. AdSense is served by Google and may use cookies or device identifiers per Google’s advertising policies. We do not sell personal data. Aggregate consent decisions may be counted in Mission Control KV for compliance auditing (no IP or email in that audit).
Chrysalis (floating guide)
Chrysalis shows public product context from site-data.json. Future AI chat (BYOK) will use an API key you supply — Lorapok does not ship provider keys to clients. Keys stay on your device; see the Chrysalis wiki for privacy tiers.
What we do not do
- No extension usage telemetry by default (optional anonymous heartbeat is off unless you enable it in settings)
- No sale of personal data
- No admin KV / subscriber PII in Chrysalis on public surfaces
Model fallback
When enabled, the extension may write Composer 2.5 (Fast off) into your local Cursor model config when limits are exceeded. This happens locally in state.vscdb.
